That Card I Promised...

Hello again, from Timaru!

I've down to my last week here, and boy oh boy, time has flown. I'm already almost at the end of my 8 weeks here. I have to say it's been an absolute fun 'working' here. People have just been great.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to do much crafts here. But I do have one card up my sleeves that I had from Easter weekend when I was home.

I have to say, I'm still stuck in this same style of cards. I'm having way too much fun with background stamping coupled with the Woodgrain impression plate.

Just another close-up view, because I can.

I thought I'd do something a little different with the ribbon. Tying a bow gets old doesn't it? Especially if it's a card with spaceships on it LOL

Well, thanks for coming by! I don't think I've got another card up my sleeve (unless you want to see that really old card I made just after I got my Cuttlebug 1.5yrs ago - before stamping was even in my dictionary!).

PS - My Cute Stamps has been having that 50% sale for their stamp sets. It does say limited time, but really that's been on for the past 5-6 months!!! Go grab them if you're interested :)

Fly Away Birthday Card

Hi everyone! Time for another card!

I'm still in the beautiful Cromwell with Rob & Joan. They have a little wee grandson - he's so cute - who's turning 1 soon, and I thought I'd make them a birthday card for them to use. Always nicer than something from the supermarket which are expensive and not worth $4-5.

Anyway, I grabbed out my Fly Away set, since it was the only baby boy sorta set I had. I had lots of fun with this card. I got to use my Block Alphabet dies as well as the In the Meadow snowdrift dies. They are very versatile, and not just for Christmas cards! ;)

Sorry I can't do anything about the crappy photo quality. I'm going to try and see if I can borrow Rob & Joan's camera later...

I just glued on the button twine btw. I smeared it with my Zig 2 way glue and it's still holding the twine so I suppose it's alright. That idea of using twine, I think I borrowed from Nichole Heady's Fly Away card from waaaay back.

But anyway, hope you like the card. It was really lots of fun to make :) Thanks for coming by!

PS - I sent in my card for PaperCrafts magazine. Blimey. Posting a card + 3 forms in a tiny box cost me $11.50!!! Thank goodness they are going to pay me more than what cost me lol
