Ah, Life is Good (+ CAS-Friday Challenge)

*For CAS-Friday Challenge card scroll to the bottom*

Ahoy! Exams are done and dusted at last! I got home after a nice dinner @ Lone Star with friends, and packed up all the notes, books and bits of paper away into the rightful folders (i.e. out of sight!) and brought out all my crafting gear! YAY!
If I don't say anything about exams next week, you can assume that I failed a paper and have to resit it. They have to mark ours incredibly fast so that they can tell us within a week so that we can start our Trainee Intern year (gosh, that sounds flash...) on the 21st Nov! All I can tell you now is that I feel incredibly sorry for the markers. Most of us have, by now, acquired the characteristic doctors' handwriting and imagine marking 200+ papers with those on... eek!

I'm sure you didn't come to hear about me rant about exams and such. I'm sure you want to see something a bit more exciting and Christmassy! I have lots of Christmas cards to make over the next two weeks! So time to get busy!

I was out today and got myself some glittery/shiny embroidery floss! They are just so pretty! I ended up buying more than I intended... but can you see the Christmas colours??? I shall have to put them to good use!

So this is what I did with it. I don't really have any dies for tags. I know I should have gotten them earlier, but I figured I wouldn't use them. Well, I was wrong. Now I just did a makeshift with the 1 3/4" Limitless Layers dies - I used the wee shiny floss here to tie it. This was the reason why I got them in the first place. This particular card needed an extra kick and I thought a floss would be good (I only had pink shades from my crochet doll making hobby).

So here's a card that's TOTALLY unconventional for Christmas, but it's kinda cute and simple in its own way.

And because you all were so nice while I was studying for exams, I'm showing you more cards! ;)

I hit my forehead on the wall not getting PTI felt last time. Then I remembered grandma gave me massive pile of felt a few years back (each is probably 1m x 1m at least). They're a bit stiff and probably nowhere near as nice as PTI ones, but if they go through the Cuttlebug and come out cut, I'm happy with it! ;) I admit they did need to be run through a couple of times...

And another card... I was just using bits of left over die cuts and this is how it ended up. I had to trim the card base smaller so that I could have the tree and Half & Half die stick out a bit.

Joyce has kindly reminded me that this one could go in for CAS-Friday Challenge #27 for this week. I have kept it at bay due to exams to this day (trying not to get too much inspirations when I needed to study!) but now I will have to start following them mire regularly! :D

I think I've written a bit too much. I have a bad habit of rambling.

Anyway, thank you for coming by and I will update again soon!

PS - I just got notification today that my PTI October release order has touched down in New Zealand at last! I suspect it's been to more parts of the world than I have over the last 10 days or so it was in transit. If I'm lucky, it'll be here tomorrow morning, but I suspect it won't be at least Monday that I will get to see it. Can't wait!

All of these are fabulous! I really like the woodgrain on the tree, and the little felt holly. TFS!

Congratulations on finishing your exams. These are three super cute cards. You should enter the last one in this week's CAS-Friday challenge (over the edge).

Love these cards, Euna! The Fancy Flourishes is a nice touch on your Tiny Treats card and great non-traditional Christmas card.

I hope you did well on your exams. Love all your cards. My favorite is the aqua mist one. Love the tag it set you used with the IP. The ribbon is so soft & a great embellishment. perfect.
